would you happen to know a reliable source for Hardy becoming the honorary

president of the RSPCA? I am quite sure that he was at some point, but I can't

find any source.

Dear Martin,

Maybe someone will prove me wrong but to the best of my knowledge Hardy was not an honorary president of the R.S.P.C.A.

He did, however, write a celebratory ode, "Compassion," to mark the centenary of the R.S.P.C.A. in June 1924.
