The address label had been printed up incorrectly, omitting the name of the State. Luckily, though, someone must have spotted this and written California in by hand. Thank you Martin for expediting its arrival. I hope the rest of you have received yours too by now. Looking forward to seeing many of you in Dorchester in 26 days time. I can't wait! Betty ========== Date: Tue, 2 Jul 2002 07:46:48 -0700 To: HARDY-L From: Betty Cortus Subject: Hiroaki Suzuki: Dorchester Trip Dear Members, Hiroaki Suzuki has given me permission to pass on to you some memories of a recent trip he and his wife made to Dorchester. Betty Hiroaki wrote: In Dorchester my wife and I had a chance to meet John Pentney and his wife Josephine, Simon Curtis, and some other members of THS on June 8, for the first time in 22 years!! We attended the Wreath-laying ceremony and took Supper at No.6 North Square Restaurant with them. On June 9 we attended Morning service at St Michael's Church, Stinsford, and after the service I took a photograph of Simon laying a wreath on Hardy's grave in heavy rain. We stayed for six nights at Yalbury Cottage Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. We thought their food was very delicious. The new landlady Kimberley Dent-Davis is very kind and cordial, and staff are friendly and reliable. Just a thought - you must have a list of those people subscribed to receive the Hardy discussion forum. Is there no way of setting the server only to accept emails from the people on the subscription list? ========== From: "Julian W. Whipple" Subject: May in July Date: Sun, 21 Jul 2002 23:34:54 -0400 Dear All, Just to say the May copy of the Journal did arrive - two days before we depart for the Conference! Cheers to all, Julian ==========
