HARDY FORUM ARCHIVE HO2046 7/10/02 "BOOK REVIEW PAGE UPDATE" ============================================================ Date: Wed, 10 Jul 2002 09:41:59 -0400 From: Shannon Rogers Subject: Book Reviews Page Update : Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" X-MIME-Autoconverted: from 8bit to quoted-printable by f04n07.cac.psu.edu id JAA126960 Hello Everyone, We are currently undergoing some changes to the Book Reviews Page. As promised last month, the page is in now in the Member's Only section of the TTHA page. It has been growing by leaps and bounds and provides an excellent resource for Hardy enthusiasts and scholars alike, with reviews of many brand new books about Hardy, including: Philip Allingham's review of The Spirit and the Flesh in Seven Hardy Novels by Wayne Burns My review of Thomas Hardy: A Beginner's Guide by Rob Abbott and Charlie Bell A response from Shanta Dutta to Rosemarie Morgan's review of Ambivalence in Hardy Philip Allingham's review of Sven Backman's The Manners of Ghosts: A Study of the Supernatural in Thomas Hardy’s Short Poems As always, I welcome volunteers to take on forthcoming reviews. I also welcome submissions and titles for review. When submitting, please include your review as a WORD attachment. Also, please include the following information in order to expedite the appearance of your work: ¥ Author name ¥ Book title ¥ Place, date, and publishing house ¥ ISBN ¥ Cloth or paperback ¥ Number of Pages ¥ Price Cheers! Shannon ========== Date: Thu, 11 Jul 2002 18:03:38 -0400 From: Rosemarie Morgan Subject: Re:BOOK REVIEWS PAGE Greetings Everyone: Since Shannon is away from her desk at the moment I'm speaking on her behalf first to apologise for the delay in transferring TTHA's *BOOK REVIEWS* page to *MEMBERS' RESEARCH RESOURCES,* and second to thank Birgit for stepping into the breach and fixing the transfer. As Shannon announced a few days ago the *REVIEWS* page grows apace with every day that passes and with Bob Schweik making hyperlinks (as I speak) to those items in the *CHECKLIST* for which Shannon's page provides reviews the rewards for researchers will be manifold. Warmest thanks to all who worked so hard to make these good things happen! Cheers, Rosemarie ==========
