HARDY FORUM ARCHIVE H01055 6/14/01 "NEW ON TTHA MEMBERS' PAGE" ================================================================= Date: Thu, 14 Jun 2001 09:58:22 -0400 From: Rosemarie Morgan Subject: Re: NEW ON TTHA MEMBERS' RESEARCH PAGE ANOTHER MESSAGE: And to follow Elina's good news I'd like to report a new bibliographical resource on TTHA's "MEMBERS'" page (http://www.yale.edu/hardysoc/Members/MRRHome.htm). This bibliography, uploaded yesterday, has been offered to TTHA members by Ottakers Books and includes listings of Audio-books and Study Aids as well as biographical/topographical/critical works. Please also note that the *Checklist* on the "MEMBERS'" page is updated bi-weekly -- a magnificent resource researched and compiled by TTHA scholars worldwide under the excellent guidance of Professor Robert Schweik to whom we are deeply indebted (TTHA's membership form can be accessed at: http://www.yale.edu/hardysoc/Welcome/memform.htm) Grateful thanks also to Seth Lachterman for providing software assistance for the "MEMBERS'" page. Cheers, Rosemarie ========== Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2001 22:28:38 -0400 From: Rosemarie Morgan Subject: WELCOME TO NEW TTHA DIRECTOR GREETINGS ALL! On behalf of TTHA team of page directors and Vice Presidents I'm delighted to welcome aboard Professor Shannon Rogers, from St Joseph's College, Philadelphia, who will be hosting our forthcoming *BOOK REVIEWS* page. Shannon was voted in, unanimously, by TTHA "coreteam" some weeks ago. This vote was then ratified (according to TTHA Bylaws) by our Board of Vice Presidents and Directors from across the globe. Shannon will be inaugurating the new *Book Reviews* page in the very near future but at this point all we have of her is a Vice President's "box" ( http://www.yale.edu/hardysoc/VPBOX/vpbox.htm) and the addition of her name to TTHA constitution. We very much look forward to the opening of her *Reviews* page which will fill, without a doubt, a much-needed gap in TTHA's research resources and will be a boon to scholars and Hardy lovers worldwide. Shannon Rogers --who may already be familiar to List members as a Forum contributor-- is a unique presence on TTHA team: she is an historian! Some of us (myself included) belong to that hybrid variety of scholars known as literary historians but Shannon is unalloyed: she is an historian of literature-- notably of the works of Thomas Hardy. Welcome Shannon! We look forward to working with you. With every good wish, Rosemarie Morgan (President) PS I'm sure Shannon won't mind if I mention here that volunteer book reviewers will be enthusiastically welcomed. Her email is (marvelllously!) : goddess@psu.edu ========== Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 11:07:17 -0400 From: Shannon Rogers Subject: Re: WELCOME TO NEW TTHA DIRECTOR Greetings to Rosemarie and All! Thanks for the warm welcome. I believe at this moment I should blushingly point out, before any of you think I have true pretensions to divinity, that the "goddess" moniker is a nickname from my husband, which he means, whatever my faults might be. This wins great points with most women, but gets their men in trouble for not coming up with a similar nickname :) For those who prefer more prosaic emails, my other address is: srogers@sju.edu Anyway, I am working on the webpage design and content and, to second Rosemarie's comments below, I certainly welcome any news on upcoming books and volunteer reviewers. Cheers, Shannon Rogers ===========
