I am delighted to announce that the Thomas Hardy Association’s Moments of Vision Appeal has accomplished its goal. on Monday, July 3, I will be meeting the current owners and purchasing, on behalf of the Association, Florence Hardy’s copy of the first edition of Moments of Vision, inscribed to her in Hardy’s hand. In late July this year, during the International Hardy Conference, TTHA will present the book to the Hardy Memorial Collection at the Dorset County Museum in Dorchester, where it will be on display. The success of the Appeal is the result of the hard work of the Board of Directors of TTHA and the good will and generosity of the membership of the Association and the Thomas Hardy Society, of the subscribers to the Victoria and Hardy listservs, of friends and supporters of the Dorset County Museum, of the English Department at Illinois State University, and of Hardy enthusiasts from many landsthe U.S., the U.K., Japan, Canada, and Australia, to name a few.  This is a proud and happy moment for the international Hardy community.
