Distinguished Hardy scholar, Dr James Gibson, will be discussing the poems at Dorset county museum every Monday from October 4 to November 29. Dr Gibson past president of the Hardy Society and editor of Hardy's 'Complete Poems', is back in Dorchester by popular demand. He will be covering each of Hardy's eight published poetry collections and original manuscripts of the poems along with rare first editions, will be on display for the opening lecture. Organisers say this is the last chance to hear these lectures in Dorchester and advise book-lovers to make the most of this opportunity. James Gibson’s Hardy Poetry Series will take place in the Temporary Exhibition Gallery, on Mondays from 2.15pm to 4pm. Tickets cost £4 on the door or £28 for the series in advance from Dorset County Museum.
