HARDY FORUM ARCHIVE H07/98 020598 JAN989 TO APR98 "INTRODUCTIONS" =================================================== Date: Thu, 5 Feb 1998 14:41:11 -0800 From: Betty Cortus Subject: Introduction My name is Susanne Tracy, an avid Hardy fan. I came across HARDY-L one day when I was at the Hardy Society home page and I signed up. I am a graduate student (MA English) at a local university and also work in the advancement office at a private college. It has been fun and informative just reading all the mail, but today I decided to participate in the discussion. Susanne ---------- Thank you Susanne for this information. I would like to encourage other subscribers, who have not yet done so, to send HARDY-L a similar introduction telling us a little about themselves and their particular interests. I am a postgraduate student at Martin Luther University, Germany. My work on Hard is a more interdisciplinary approach to his novels and deals with the reflection of history. Electronic concordances of Hardy's novels form an important part of my research. Currently I am about to finish a complete corpus of all of his novels for electronic analysis. I look foreward to interesting discussions on this list. Sincerely, Birgit Plietzsch plietzsch@zusas.uni-halle.de **********
